FW: Wild Dog Bulletin - Exclusion Fencing in CWQ under the Qld Feral Pest Initiative
This Bulletin is about positive results – landholders being able to reduce the impacts on livestock. I lived around this region for a decade, and to me this is a great story.
The Central Western Queensland Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD) region comprises the seven local government areas of Central West Queensland - Barcaldine Regional Council, Barcoo Shire Council, Blackall-Tambo Regional Council, Boulia Shire Council, Diamantina Shire Council, Longreach Regional Council and Winton Shire Council. It covers a total area of 396 609 km² and accounts for 22.9 per cent of the land area of Queensland [or roughly half the size of NSW]
This first link is about exclusion fencing going up under the Qld Feral Pest Initiative. There are some fantastic short videos interviewing landholders involved.
This link shows a map giving built and proposed exclusion fencing -
